I faxed mine about 10 days prior to receiving my letter and I'm still waiting. I made sure to ask what I needed to fax, if I needed a cover letter and what to including (name, social, ref#) anything and I was told just fax they can look it up by the social on the forms. I was confirmed they have it but I am still waiting there has been no change to my WMR either.

@laddidles We are in the exact same situation. I feel like because we faxed before getting that letter we are being held up longer or something. They confirmed they have it but zero updates since....this is frustrating but hopefully we will see movement soon.

@tia42602 I didn't wait for the letter before I faxed my info. When I called they told me what was needed and I faxed it the next day. I received my letter about a week after I sent the info in.

@laddidles that's crazy did you do your own taxes or someone filed them for you like a tax preparer?

@mj7641 yup I wasn't expecting it to be no time soon either. I just happened to check WMR on the day before Easter and seen I had a DDD. I thought for sure I wasn't getting until May.

i received a letter in the mail yesterday stating my refund was going up and to wait 4-6 weeks. Is that serious? ugh this sucks

I just got off the phone with them now on 7 weeks and they said I have to wait full 8 weeks no updates have been made on my account! Frustrated!!!

@cloudrissaaa it shouldn't take that long. Once you get that letter it takes about a week or two. At least I received within that time frame hope it's the same for you. You can check WMR now that you have your adjusted refund amount.

I finally updated today people. I’m in shock. My 8 weeks from the time I faxed my 8962 is literally on Tuesday and I updated with a dd date of 5/1. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
