Can u plz tell me how I file also my federal taxes and state taxes nyc together ? I did it last year but I don’t see an option if this here

Last year I filed both taxes together through turbo tax and this year I can’t see that option

I think to file together really means you can have the both the federal and state fees deducted from your federal refund.  There is an EXTRA 39.99 refund processing service charge to have the fees deducted.  So your federal refund has to be big enough to cover the fees plus the service charge.

You complete the Federal return in TurboTax, and then when finished preparing it, the State section will start.

You don't go to the State until the Federal return has all the information as much of this transfers to the State return.

In the Personal Information section when you start TurboTax will have your state address and ask if you have income from any other State.  So when you get to the State section, it will know which state(s) you need to file.
