I filed my 2018 taxes with turbo tax, but when I go back to the site it say it can't be found. How can I find out if it was actually filed or not?

I have opened my Turbo Tax and it does not contain my return. I need a copy. What is the best way to find it?

Please explain what that means. First of all, are you referring to a 2018 return? What product are you using for 2018--Online TurboTax or the desktop software (CD/download)? Have you already finished and filed your 2018 return?
If you used Online TurboTax, here's how to get the PDF. Log in and go to the section "Your Tax Returns & Documents". Expand that section, if necessary, and choose tax year 2018. Are you not able to find a link to "download/print the PDF?"
If you used Online TurboTax, but see no evidence of your 2018 online return in that account, we can tell you how to look for multiple accounts.
Or if you are using desktop software (CD/download), are you saying you cannot locate the *.tax2018 data file?
I did about 75% of my 2018 yesterday, but cannot find it on my computer. I cannot find "My Account" to enter. Fred Scott, [phone number removed]

@bassfrog0222 Your post does not tell us whether you are using desktop software which you downloaded/installed from a CD to your own computer or if you are using online TurboTax. it makes a big difference in how you look for your return. If you are using desktop software, then you do not log on to an account--you just open up the program on your own computer. And--it is important to save your work as you go when you use desktop.
If you are using online software then you might be in the wrong account.
Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them. Log out of the account you are in now.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax? If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.

Need copies of 2018 w2s
TurboTax does not have a copy of the W-2 or Form 1099. It would have W-2 and Form 1099 worksheets that included the tax data from the forms that were entered. The worksheets would be included in the PDF of the tax return in the tax year the return was completed.
Copies of a Form 1099 would have to obtained from the issuer of the form.
For a 2018 tax return -
When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state. See screenshot
This will take you back to the 2018 online tax return.
Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Then click on Print Center. Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return. Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets
If you cannot obtain the W-2 from your employer, then for a fee you can get a complete copy of a W-2 from the Social Security Administration - https://faq.ssa.gov/en-us/Topic/article/KA-02501

i can't fine my 2018 tax return
it's not in there i need to fine another way
That's common to end up with multiple accounts. First LOG OUT of whatever TurboTax account you're logged into right now. Then use this TurboTax account recovery website to get a list of user ID's for an email address. Run the tool against any email addresses you may have used
https://myturbotax.intuit.com/account-recovery/
If you used the Desktop CD/Download program then the only copy is on your computer and not saved or stored online.
You have to sign onto your 2018 online account using the exact same user ID you used to create the 2018 online account.
Close all TurboTax windows on your web browser (including this one). Copy and paste the account recovery website link onto a new web browser window and run the tool.
Use this TurboTax account recovery website to get a list of all the user ID's for an email address. Run the tool against any email addresses you may have used - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/account-recovery
If none of the user ID's received will access your 2018 account, then use the option shown in blue on the account recovery website, "Try something else"
If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.
To access your tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the userID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
If you still cannot access your account, you can contact TurboTax customer service/support through their contact website during business hours.
See this TurboTax support FAQ for a contact link and hours of operation - https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/3401489
Submit your question/problem during business hours and then use the option for Call (a phone number will be provided for Call) to speak directly with a TurboTax agent -
Note: The Call option will not be available when TurboTax Support is closed.
Support can also be reached by messaging them on these pages https://www.facebook.com/turbotax/ and https://twitter.com/TeamTurboTax

"It was save in my computer.."
If you used desktop software downloaded/installed from a CD to your own computer, then the tax files are stored locally on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive. They are not stored online. If you cannot recover them due to a hard drive failure, etc. you can get a free transcript from the IRS or for a fee of $50, an actual copy of the return.

Contact your state for copies of previous state returns.
