I plan to file my 2013 taxes and I am wondering if I can have the refund direct deposited into my account.

Yes you can , DD is allowed on original tax return filing but not on amended returns. That info is entered on page 2 of the form 1040 right above where you sign before you mail in the tax return.

I submitted my amended tax return to the IRS and they acknowledged receiving it on April 21, 2025. The sent me a a written confirmation of the amendments and they confirmed my refund amount. I still have not received my refund as of today.
