Can I switch direct deposit to a different account?

The account used was cancelled after the return was filed. Can I change the return to a different direct deposit or will it come in the mail.

If the return is rejected, you can change the account information.

Unfortunately, if the return is accepted, then you will NOT be able to change it and the refund will be return to the IRS and the IRS will mail the check to you.
