Can I remove the $300 entry on Line 10 b of the 2020 1040 SR?

I am itemizing but the software put a $300 entry for charitable donations in line 10 b, as if I were taking the standard deduction.

No. That $300 entry is specifically designed for the Standard Deduction filer If you are itemizing deductions and able to take advantage of the deduction, you will be able to claim all your qualified chartable deductions up to AGI limits. At this point, you may not have enough itemized deductions to offset your standard deduction for this year.

I have chosen to Itemize.  I have approx $58000 in line 12 and Turbotax has calculated my tax on that basis.  But, the $300 is still appearing in line 10b and is impacting my AGI.

Complete the deductions section again to remove that amount.

I completely redid the Charitable Contributions part and it had no effect.  Would I have to redo the whole Deductions section?  Thanks.

No ... just the charity section.  Are you using the Online or downloaded version ?

I'm using online.  I just emptied the whole Deductions section and refilled it.  The $300 is gone now.  Thanks for jumping in to help.  Many years of Turbotaxing, and I'm loving this year the least.  Must be the Covid effect.

Definitely ... lots of bugs which is also on the IRS side which is why they are not starting processing until at least  2/12.
