Can I make changes to my return once it has be e-filed?

Only by doing an amendment.  Efiling a return is like mailing a letter.  Once it has been sent it cannot be retrieved.

Now, if the return would be rejected for any reason, the correction can be made before resubmitting.

Once accepted, an amendment can be done to "change" the return.
