You can if it is a 2021 return being prepared online. If it is another year or stored on a desktop, then the answer is no.
I loaded a disk for turbo tax. How do I keep my return on line to access from another computer at another location?
There is no way to do that. The return will only be on the computer where you have the program.
@bergroger1 When you use the CD/download you cannot access your return online. The tax file will only be stored on your own hard drive. If you want the ability to access your return from other computers or other locations then online software would have been a better choice for you. Returns prepared using the CD/download are never stored online and cannot be accessed from an online account. Make sure you save your return every time you work on it, or you can lose your progress in desktop software. Later----print out a copy for your own records and back it up on a flash drive or some other back up device so you do not risk losing it in case of a hard drive crash, etc.
You would have to copy the .tax2021 file from your computer to the other computer. If you make any entries or changes on it then you would have to copy it back, etc. You would need the program installed on the other computer to open the tax file. You should only have 1 file for your actual return. You can mess it up by copying it back and forth. So don't do that!
