Bug Report - Anyone else notice this problem importing lengthy Description data from 1099-Bs downloaded from Brokers?

Display Problem with data from Broker's imported 1099-B.

If a Sale item Description is very long,. Eg:."790.00 XXXXX INC XXXMANDATORY MERGER EFF: 11/29/18" it will display OK in Step-by-Step view but is not readable  in Form 8949 when in Form View.. Generated PDFs will also be affected..

It seems like TT program needs to control the length of the data being imported. into the Description field of the TT 1099-B.

The user can fix this manually by shortening the Description, providing he/she notices it. Can I assume this problem does not affect files sent electronically to the IRS?

TurboTax approach is to make the font as tiny as necessary, come what may.
For more fun, double the length of the description.

It's been doing this for a many years.

Interesting. I noticed the tiny font. In some placed only gray shading appears.I think they prevent you from entering too long a Description manually. I can't imagine why they wouldn't restrict the length of a Description when imported unless maybe they thought that would be disturbing the integrity of the Broker's data.
