Bank account closed direct deposit impossible

Just want to see if I understood correctly, so it don't matter if the fees for ttax need to be deducted, if the refund was sent to a closed account as soon as it rejects it will be resent in a paper check? I don't care how long it takes to get here I just want to make sure I don't have to call or do anything. If it automatically follows it's prosses.

I do know for sure. It is automatically redirected back to the IRS and then they process it into a check .

The IRS waits for your return to be processed back to them, then they mail you a paper return. I waited 4 wks and called them back, hoping my return was on it's way to my address. No good news that day, the person who answered was very nice and put a trace on my funds. I search through Turbo Tax "Help & Questions", and found a number to call, the third party (bank) that handles the e-file process.......they had my money and told me how to "release" a cashiers check sent directly to my address, by-passing the second time through the IRS "line". My bank account was also closed. The bank returned the direct deposit on the 26 of February 2018 and I just received my check on the 28th of February 2018

Hey, I was just curious, so wells fargo let you withdraw the funds after they closed the account for which you wanted to deposit your check? This is my dilemma today. I was just wondering if I could do the same
