Anyone ever have the app say they are gonna receive a check but still get a direct deposit on the say it's suppose to hit ?

Im so confused with this stupid **bleep**. My boyfriend signed up to have the 5 days early taken out of our taxes which was a big mistake cuz we were part of the path so our funds were delayed anyways. We finally got an update on our transcripts of 2/24 and them we go on the turbo tax app and it was at first saying we received the fund 5 days early with the date of 2/19 and that was on the 20th so we just said we would wait and see if we get them by the end of the day and went to check again and had a message on there that said they couldn’t deposit the money and now a check was being mailed but that they wouldn’t charge the 25$ fee. We contacted irs and they said the funds weren’t sent and our bank says their was so denied deposits. At this point i could care less about the stupid 5 days early. I just want my money on monday like i was suppose to get it 😩 also we have not received no emails from turbo since we filed.  I see people saying they got emails stating that turbo has the money and all this but we have nothing. We wouldn’t have even known anything was wrong if we didn't check the stupid app.

Have you checked the IRS Where’s My Refund site? That’s the best place to confirm if the IRS has sent your refund.


With 5 Days Early, you have the flexibility to have your federal refund deposited into your preferred bank account 5 days earlier than the date your refund would have arrived if sent from the IRS directly. The fee is taken out of your refund amount only if delivered at least 5 days early."

 

Once the IRS approves your refund, TurboTax will be notified and we’ll attempt to transfer your refund to your bank account. TurboTax will then send you an email letting you know if we were able to successfully deliver your refund 5 Days Early or if we were unable to expedite your refund. If we were successfully able to deliver your refund 5 Days Early, you can expect to see your refund in your bank account the same day you received an email from us.

 

If we were unable to expedite your refund, your refund will be delivered by the date provided in the IRS Where’s My Refund site and you will not be charged for 5 Days Early. You will also see a notice that “We could not expedite your refund. No 5 day early fee was charged” as part of your TurboTax refund tracker.
