TT does not receive tax refunds. They either come to you directly from the IRS (which is very backlogged), or from a third party bank if you choose to have your TT fees deducted from the Federal refund.

The IRS has been making a lot of adjustments because of taxpayer errors in claiming the stimulus and/or Child Tax Credits. This is not unique to TT customers.

But most of the troubles with refunds are caused by problems at the IRS, especially this year, or by errors made by the person who prepared the tax return.
