I mailed in my amendment over 10 weeks ago and turbo tax is still saying my amendment is in progress??

It usually takes the IRS 16 weeks or more to process an amended return.

It will always say that ... they are not informed when you mailed it or where it is in the process. 

A 1040X cannot be e-filed. It must be printed and mailed. It will take about 2-4 months for the IRS to process an amended return.

Wait about 3 weeks and you can check the status of your amended return:
