Amending tax return

my parents filed me as a dependent and on my taxes I filed as independent. I amended my info to dependent. Will my parents have to make an amendment to get a larger return?

Did your return reject because they claimed you?  Or did you file first and their return rejected?  If you filed first and it was Accepted then you amend your return.  They will have to print and mail  their return.  They don't have to wait for your amended return to process.  

If you return rejected because you claimed you then post back.  Do you qualify as their return.  Here are the rules for claiming a dependent.  Do you qualify as a dependent?
