Amending Tax Form (Box 14)

Hi,

I filed my taxes and received my refund a few weeks ago. My employer sent me a revised W2C a few days ago. The only difference is that an amount for CASDI in box14 has been added. I didn't itemize my taxes. Will I need to amend my tax return?

CASDI is a state tax. It is deductible on Schedule A if you itemize your deductions and opt for state tax.

As you did not itemize, you do not need to amend your tax return. No further action is needed and you just keep the form W-2C in your tax records.
