amending return

I received a w2C last year but did not know it until know.  the only change was to check the retirement box in #13 and to separate the deferral amount in box 12 to codes D and Y.  I went into Turbo tax to amend the 2018 return made these changes but then Turbo Tax said there were no changes, was I sure I needed to amend??? 

Do I need to amend a tax return if these were the only changes to the W2?

No, you don't need to amend your return based on those changes.
