Amending my 2021 return

I need to amend my 2021 return, and the directions given by the support don’t work with my software (download). It says to open my software, and “Select 'Amend a filed return' near the bottom of the homepage.” Well, I’m using a Mac, and there is no such link that I can find. Nor can I find such a command anywhere on the tool bar. I have tried everything I can think of, but cannot find out how to amend my return. I only need to modify one entry.
I did just file last night, but received an email that my return was accepted by the IRS.

If you used the CD/download go to Other Tax Situations and scroll down to amend.

Wait.....your e-file was accepted just last night? STOP. You do not amend until the return has been fully processed. You are trying to amend way too soon if you just e-filed. WAIT. There are some mistakes that the IRS corrects for you.

Hi Xmasbaby0. Too late. I already filed the amended return! It was accepted, tho, so I hope it’s all good....

Be aware that the amended return will probably take 6 months to a year to process AFTER the original return has finished processing. Depending on what you changed the IRS may catch the error for you and the 1040X may be irrelevant. But again this will take a long long time to finish.
