I am trying to amend the Federal and State (IL) for a 1099-K that I did not know about. I get the information in Federal and it comes out fine. It proceeds to ask me if I want to amend State and I say yes. I look through the information and it looks right, I continue on and then click to check and it says I need to review it. I click on the review and it is asking for the date 1040-X Federal was accepted. I don't have the date because I just finished working on the Federal amendment in the same session. It is stuck on this and it has become a logic loop that is seems to be impossible.
Any clues? This is the online version that I will have to upgrade from Deluxe to complete. I have to get passed this loop to amend and upgrade.

This is not the answer unfortunately. I did a lot of digging into the Illinois tax form 1040-X and despite what Turbotax online recommends, you cannot amend Illinois until you file a Federal amendment and get a letter from them accepting the amendment. In this case the answer is you can only amend Federal and don't let Turbotax online process the the state until later.
The recommendation to complete state and federal at the same time was a bad one for Illinois. The software itself is doing what it is supposed to. It can't complete without an official acceptance date from federal.
Thank you
