I forgot to add a deduction and I've already filed my 2019 return. The return was accepted so I've gone into TT and clicked on Amend return. I went into the deductions for child care and it says, "Because you entered $6,000 or less in earned income, we need to know if you are a full-time student or disabled, in order to calculate the maximum credit." Note that my income is much more than $6,000 on the filed return. I selected None of the above and clicked continue, and it takes me back to the main Deductions screen. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

It depends. Go back through this section carefully to make sure the program picks up your income.
If you are still getting unexpected results, you could delete this section and re-add it for the amendment.
To navigate to this section in TurboTax, follow these steps:
Keep in mind that expenses paid through your employer as pre-tax dollars are not eligible for this credit. The credit is for after tax dollars spent for the child or dependent care while the head of the household or both parents were working or looking for work.

Hi, thanks for the response. I'm not clear what you mean by "delete this section and re-add it". Delete which section?
Thanks.
In the Child and Dependent Care topic delete the provider entries and the dependent entries. You can also delete the form 2441 by following the steps below. Then go back and re-enter the information in the section.

2. Click "Tools" in the left hand menu
3. Click "Delete a form" in the center screen
4. Find the Form 2441 and "Delete"
