Amending 2017 return after starting 2018 return

I amended my 2017 return after starting (and almost completing) my 2018 return. I would like to import the modified information from 2017 into my 2018 TurboTax information for comparison. Can I do that without starting my 2018 return over?

Amending 2017 return after starting 2018 return

Unfortunately 2017 can only be transferred into a new BLANK 2018 return as the first step.  As soon as ANY information is added, transfers can no longer be done.

Amending 2017 return after starting 2018 return

The absolute only possible way to import data from your 2017 return into your 2018 return is to clear your 2018 return and start over. There is no other possibility. Since you're using the CD version of the program, that means you just delete the .tax2018 file on your computer and start over. I have no clue where that file would be on a MAC. @macuser_22
