I filed my taxes and i had to pay in for state. I paid it but then my employer said his accountant filled the W2 out wrong. I amended my taxes with the correct information. I got a refund back but what happens the amount that i paid in. Do i have to amend it again to receive the money back or will the state issue me a check?

No, do not file another amended return, and do not do anything right now.
The amended return calculated your new refund expecting that you had completed the original payment.
Now, you just have to be patient.

I did wait until the first round of taxes where processed and finished. then i amended it. but i paid into state when i filed the first time. do i get that back when amended the first time? looks like they took that amount off my refund and want me to amend that amount that paid not sure. I will have to see when i receive the amended part. Just really confused.
You will have to wait until everything is settled and you are notified by the state. Be patient because it takes a little while to process amended returns. Wait to be contacted.
the amendment process is designed to credit you for amounts you already paid.
You're supposed to confirm that before you submit it.
You can confirm it now by reviewing the printed amendment you filed
