Question

amended taxes

I amended my state tax and not my fed because they said not to. Now it says my fed taxes has been rejected and I dont know why since Ididnt do anything with them. what am i suppose to do?

    It sounds your federal return was rejected because you transmitted it a second time when you amended your state return.

     

    Did you e-file your amended state return? Or go through the whole filing process again?

     

    If your federal taxes were accepted by the IRS, then there is nothing to worry about. You just sent your federal taxes twice and the IRS rejects duplicate transmissions.
