Amended tax return question

I was sent an incorrect unemployment tax form (it stated I paid less taxes during unemployment that I actually had), so I ended up owing approx. $500 in taxes (fed and state total). After filing, I received the corrected tax form from unemployment, and filed an amended return via TurboTax. My question is, will I get the original $500 I paid back, in addition to what TurboTax said I'm owed due to the amended form? Or did the amended amount TurboTax said I'm owed take into account the fact that I already paid $500, and that is the net amount (meaning, I originally would have gotten $500 + the amended amount back if I had filed with the corrected unemployment form originally)?

Amended tax return question

If completed correctly, the amended return is the net amount assuming you paid the amount on the original return. Line 17 on form 1040X should show the amount paid with the original return. If you now owe additional, it would be on line 20 or if you are getting a refund it would be on line 21.
