Amended Kansas tax credit on income earned in Missouri

I amended a KS tax return for a previous tax year to include a deduction for income earned in MO. I don’t think the amended return reflects the correct amount. Can you confirm if I am correct? As an example, let’s say my original KS return showed a payment of $500 and the amended return (in TurboTax 2016) shows a refund of $1,000 because of a credit on line 13 of the K-40 form for income paid to another state. Shouldn’t the amended return show a refund of $1,500 to offset the original $500 paid to KS? Note: The K-40 form does show the $500 paid in originally on line 26 of the form but it is not credited back on the amended form.
