There is no need to amend the 2021 tax return because the IRS changed your tax return.
The IRS changed your return because you indicated that you did not receive the 3rd stimulus payment but the IRS has records which show that the stimulus payment was sent to you.
Go to this IRS website for your tax account to see if the 3rd stimulus payment is entered - https://www.irs.gov/payments/your-online-account
If you checked your bank account in the March - May 2021 timeframe and there is not a EIP3 payment from the IRS then go to this IRS website for how to start a trace on the payment - https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/questions-and-answers-about-the-third-economic-impact-payment-topic-j-p...

If you filed your tax return as married filing jointly there is no need to amend the return if the IRS has records that the 3rd stimulus payment of $1,400 was sent to each of you.
You can check your own IRS tax account to see if the EIP3 was sent to you - https://www.irs.gov/payments/your-online-account
At this point i will not dwell on that. But for my regular return from my W2 will we still get it ? is there anything i need to do for the regular returns or that's a loss because they change the whole thing to $0. I need to understand because i have no tracker of that portion and now i have the state tax set to deduct out my account yet i have no refund to get. so please no copy and paste. Will i get the regular returns being that i do not need to amend
