"Amend (change) return" option does not show for "accepted" return

I need to amend my 2020 tax return. I read that you can't amend until it's been "accepted". It has now been accepted (federal but not state) and according to the TurboTax FAQ "Scroll down to Your tax return & documents (you may need to select Show), select 2020 and then Amend (change) return."

I did this but there is no "Amend (change) return" option. How can I amend my return?

You can file an amendment after your submitted return has been processed by the IRS. See this FAQ on How to amend a return.

I just checked and I see "Amend (change) return" as an option now. My state return was recently "accepted" so my guess is the federal and state returns have to be accepted before the link shows up?

I clicked the link and it says "You're going to have to wait until the tax form for amending a return (Form 1040X) is ready for processing." Not sure if that is what you mean by "processing."

I wish the FAQ had this process all laid out. That would save me time from having to figure this out myself.
