The IRS Form 1040-X for amending a 2020 tax return is scheduled to be available on 03/26/2021 (subject to change)

Today, the 1040x became available using TurboTax desktop program.

All went very well until it came to file.

The Federal instructions page said I had to print and mail the return, and E-file for NYS.

After printing the Federal return, I proceeded to E-file and TurboTax E-filed both the State AND the Federal.

While that IS my preference, it would be nice if you'd get your act together. It's March 26th and there was PLENTY of time to get this right the first time.

Just my two cents.
