Am I getting a refund?

So I e-files m taxes yesterday..I’m not even sure of the amount I’m supposed to get back.. it says I owe 187$ takes .. and that 1981$ is being withheld from my w-2 forms..wth?? When am I getting my refund

If, on the bottom line you owe, then you are not getting a refund. You have to pay the IRS. Your withholding was insufficient to pay your tax due.

My taxes being withheld are 1981$… that’s after they discounted the 187$ that I owe.. I gave them permission to take the 187$ owed out my bank in April.. and the amount being withheld is way more than what I owe… so what’s going on??
i always do my taxes and I only made approximately 33,000 in 2022.. I know there’s people who make way more and still get a refund so it can’t be what u said I’m sorry

Every year is different from every other. Withholding tables change. If all you have is one W-2, then there is no mystery. Read your actual return line by line, to see why this is happening
