I typed in 0 for my agi for 2019. I had a 1099 but never did it cause it was my first time receiving one. What does that do for my return of this year?

Please explain "I had a 1099 but never did it..."

I was doing construction for most of 2019. I was told that I’ll be given a 1099 but didn’t know what that meant. When I went to file it I didn’t understand it so I left it alone. I did my taxes for this year but they got rejected because of my “2019 AGI”, so I put “0” as for my 2019 agi. So my question is is that going to affect my return for this year?

So you entered your self-employment income but just did not know how to find your AGI and used zero to e-file 2020?  For 2019 did you just enter the self-employment income without a 1099Misc?   Am I understanding that correctly?   Or by "left it alone" do you mean you did not put that income on your 2019 tax return?  Or did not file a 2019 return at all?

If zero does not work to  let you e-file the 2020 return then you have to print, sign and mail it.
