Question

After filing a paper return can I now file electronically.

    No. You can only file once.

    Not a good idea.   While paper returns are being delayed by the IRS at this time, once the mailed return gets entered and there is also a e-filed return, both returns will be flagged for manual processing because you cannot have two returned at the same rtme.  Expect at least a 6 month to a years delay in any refund.
