I am another person claiming the EIC credit for my children and only one of my 3 children qualifies for additional tax credit because she is 15. I understand they are searching for fraud but I am sure that they will see the consistency of claims of children every year. What other information could they want?
I TOO WAS EXCEPTED ON 1/17 AND THIS IS THE FIRST YEAR I HAVE BEEN EXCEPTED EARLY... YOUR REFUND WILL ONLY BE HELD IF YOU CLAIMED AN "ADDITIONAL CHILD TAX CREDIT".. " CHILD TAX CREDIT AND ADDITIONAL CHILD TAX CREDIT IS TWO DIFFERENT THINGS..... FOR PEOPLE WHO CLAIMED THREE CHILDREN OR MORE, YOUR TAXES WILL BE HELD TILL NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 15....
I had an early acceptance on the 13th also. I thought that I got the EITC, but looking over my tax form it showed the section blank along with No printed on it, I am assuming I was not eligible this year. This is first year filing early, so I should not have to wait until the 15th, but what is the normal time frame for receiving my refund?
@m.bailey71 the IRS predicts 21 days just in case it takes a little longer to verify your return is accurate... But usually it takes no longer than 11 days max... Anything over that they are reviewing to make sure it's accurate.. But they are pretty good at being on time...
@titto20356 thank you, so basically don't start tripping until after the 24th lol. Funny how that money burns a whole in your pocket before you even get it.
@spicerak40 YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT TILL FEBRUARY 15 OR A LITTLE LATER.... NO IF ANDS OR BUT'S.... THAT APPLIES TO EVERYONE WHO CLAIMS MORE THAN TOO PERIOD.... IF THE DAYS THAT YOU FILED EARLY COUNT TOWARDS THAT DATE NOBODY KNOWS UNTIL THIA YEAR IS OVER AND IT HAD BEEN EXPERIENCED... EITHER WAY YOU WILL BE OK. JUST HANG IN THERE.. IM HERE TILL THE END...
