60 day review??

This is crazy I called IRS and they said March 16th it's going into a 60 day review cause they couldn't verify information on our taxes which doesn't make any sense cause all I did was put in the information that they requested. Before when I called 2 weeks ago a guy told me that March 9th should be direct deposited and it's not so I called and a lady said there's information that they can't verify I'm confused... Never had to deal with this before and they can't even give me any information as to why and what they can't verify.

Often it is just a random check like every so many random passengers at an airport getting pulled out of line for a full pat down. The IRS does not reveal it's method of review selection. It they did then ID thieves would know how to avoid it.

I'm in the same boat, my 60 days are almost up. Have you gotten a response? Did they are for more information or release your refund?
