4464c LTR. My transcript has a code 570 (additional accounting action needed)

Ok I have a code 570 at the end of my transcript. I received a letter saying irs may need an additional 60 days. No action needed. However on my transcript the “transaction explanation” has values for the 3-4 transactions I’ve been credited and a date of 3/6/23. My question Is since I took EIC AND child tax credit that I was given a 570 code to allow for additional processing time and will likely pick back up around 3/6/23? My original efile acceptance date was 1/31/23

The purpose of the IRS Letter 4464C is simple. It mainly informs the recipient two things.

First, the department has received the income tax return. Second, the person cannot expect to receive their tax refund anytime soon because it is still under review. In most cases, the delay is only 60 days. Note this letter doesn’t imply a tax audit, which involves much deeper scrutiny of the returns.

there is nothing for you to do at the present time

note that for any return claiming the earned income credit or child tax credit the refund could not be issued before 2/15/2023 (PATH Act)

Thank you for responding. I understand the nature of the letter but I guess at this point I’m wondering 1. If this delay letter maybe issued to folks so that the irs can comply with path act. Reason being those transactions now have a date of 3/6/23..would you say this date is arbitrary or is it possible processing (assuming an accurate and complete filing otherwise) would continue on this date. 3/6 being almost exactly 21 days from the original projected refund date. Meaning basically I would have at the end of the path act?
