Hi, I have e-filed my both federal and state tax for 2022 tax year, then after it's processed in 2023 I filed an amendment electronically using the TurboTax desktop and it's accepted. Now in 2024 I got some corrected 1099-R Form to update some non taxable amount (Box 5 contribution amount), which has no impact with my tax returns, at least I didn't find any differences.
I used TurboTax to complete the 2nd amendment and it asked me to print and mail the forms, even there's 0 difference, when I click on the "File" tab, it said the deadline of 2022 e-file was Oct 16 2023, but it could still proceed to e-file until the last step, I didn't click the "Transit" button yet, but I wonder
1. Should I still need to amend my tax since there's no difference?
2. Do I have to mail the amendment forms or I could still try to e-file?
Thanks.

1. If the changes do not make any difference in your tax you should not file the amended return.
2. TurboTax does not support e-filing of an amended return for a past year, but it doesn't matter in your case because you are not going to file the amended return.
