2021 Turbotax sign in & updates on MacBook Pro

Hi All,

  I used TurboTax 2021 Premier to file my taxes this year with no issues.  I went to file an amended return today and when I tried to sign on I get the short message "Checking for Updates" which disappears quickly and the link disappears!  I am using a MacBook Pro with the required operating system.  I removed and reinstalled the program with no luck.  Any help or suggestions would be  appreciated!!

Hi All,

ADDED INFO TO ABOVE PROBLEM.  I reinstalled OS Big Sur Ver 11.6.5 and issue still there.  In addition I have Turbo Tax Program going back to 2015.  I tried starting Turbotax 2019 & 2020 and had same message come up and the link disappeared.  BUT I tried all other previous TurboTax versions and they worked fine??????

Any similar issues out there.  I tried calling TurboTax support and I was not able to get a human to speak to.  If TurboTax monitors this message board please offer suggestions or provide a way to speak to a Customer Service Representative.

Hi Again,

    I have been researching this forum and found a thread with NUMEROUS customers with the same problem!  There were pages of suggestions to uninstall Turbotax 2021 and in addition must delete library files associated with Turbotax 2021.  Then reinstall Turbotax 2021.  This worked for some people others had to create a new user with "Administrator Rights".  I have not tried either yet but if it does work people have said Turbotax has not found the cause and you might have the issue come again!

   Turbo Tax (Intuit) has not put in the time to find and provide a patch to eliminate this issue for MAC users...Why?  Money?

    CUSTOMER SERVICE please provide an update!   The thread I found started in January 2022 and the last post on it was 4 weeks ago.
