2021 Stimulus Payment

I filed our federal taxes through TurboTax on 3/6/2021. It has been acknowledged and received; however, not processed.

Based upon our 2019 tax filings, we were only partially eligible for stimulus payments despite the fact that I was unemployed for 10 months and my husband for 3. 

Now, based upon our 2020 taxes, our income dropped substantially and we are now eligible for the stimulus payments. Thankfully, we are both re-employed. It was very humbling to go to food banks each month.

My question is this: I filed on 3/6, prior to President Biden signing the legislation. I received an acknowledgement. However, the status reads still processing.

Will we still receive our stimulus payment based upon our 2020 taxes, considering the facts I have laid out?

If the IRS uses your 2020 tax return, you will receive the third stimulus payment. It's difficult to say if you will receive the full stimulus based on the fact that you return is "not processed" yet. The IRS will be sending payments for weeks and you may receive a payment later.
