2021 amendment summary shows 0 values for original return

Hi folks. I'm amending my e-filed/accepted 2021 return and following the process described here: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/tax-return/help/how-do-i-amend-my-2021-return/00/2544441. When I get to the "Your Amended Return Summary" screen, all the values for my original 2021 Return are $0 -- which isn't correct! So the generated 1040-X is completely wrong. How do I bring forward all my originally-filed 2021 numbers into TurboTax's process to file an amended return? Thanks for your help!

The Refund Monitor will reset to $0—don’t worry, this is normal for amended tax returns.

Also note, if your return has been accepted, wait until you have received your refund or taxes due paid, then you can go here for instructions on amending your return.

Thanks for your response! Turns out the problem was the instructions references above say:

  1. Open your TurboTax 2021 software (you must amend your 2021 return in the 2021 version of TurboTax)
  2. Select Amend a filed return, located near the bottom of the homepage

The problem is, after one has filed a return the home page never appears again! To get around that, I clicked "Search Topics" and elected 1040x. That opened up the amendment process within my already-filed return, and now the numbers are correct!
