I don't know what to do. IRS is closed for live help and I filed Jan 30th.
For the stimulus check it even states that if your 2019 taxes are still processing to use your 2018 taxes so I tried THREE times and it didn't work. So, I decided to try 2019 and it WORKED but theyre still processing. It doesn't make sense and im so irritated I want to cry because its been MONTHS and haven't figured anything out at all!
will I get my tax return for 2019?
or are they just gone and I don't get them?
Please real answers, no automated messages or anything. Ive called and called and called and no live help, I even tracked it from IRS number and even the automated service said its processing and I even tried to call the lost refund number and theyre closed too.

"Processing" as your status for your 2019 tax return is a frustrating status because what does that mean?! All that "processing" tells us is that your tax return has been received by the IRS but hasn't been finalized.
Imagine that it's somewhere in the middle of a big assembly line.
Unfortunately, right now, that line is moving somewhat slowly.
I can tell you more about what that status doesn't mean than what it does.
January 30th was a long time ago, and you must be extremely frustrated by now.
At this point, I would suggest that you seek help from the Taxpayer Advocate Service(TAS) office that serves your area. It appears that not all offices of the TAS are open, but that some are.
You start that process by filing Form 911. You will find that form here: Request for Taxpayer Advocate Service Assistance. There is a link on the form itself to the website that will provide you with the contact number for the office closest to you.
Best of luck to you!
So in 2018 why did I get taxes back as normal? But now they’re holding taxes due to 2016? I heard my stimulus check won’t come until I get my taxes, is that true?
