I need to get the first copy of my 2018 taxes before I did the 1040 -X amended return

    If you did not save a copy of the 2018 tax return before amending the return, then the original Form 1040 is no longer available when using the TurboTax online editions.

     

    Go to this IRS website for free federal tax return transcripts - https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

     

    For a fee of $50 you can get a complete federal tax return from the IRS by completing Form 4506 - http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf

    do you need just the original agi for 2018? that will be on form 1040-x line 1 column A
