2018 tax

California sent me a letter saying I did not qualify for Head of household.  My mom is on S.S.  They said she had received to much money. What is the amount,  I have been claiming this status for years

Both the Federal and CA taxable income limit for HOH for 2018 was $4,150 (that does not include any non-taxable Social Security income).

If you qualify then call the CA FTB for more information or to dispute.
