2018 tax

I was informed by AARP tax filers I didn't need to file 2018 taxes as it 0 on both the IRS and myself. I spoke last week with the social security office and was informed to get the high premium placed on Medicare lowered I needed to submit a 2018 tax return.  I used Turbo tax for the 2018 taxes but I don't know what other paperwork should be included and sent along with the 1040 form and it is past the tax deadline so do I need an extension also?

2018 tax

It is too late to get an extension.  Extensions had to be filed by April 15 and only gives you to Oct 15 to file.  And Efiling is now closed.  You can mail in a 2018 return.

To do a prior year return you have to buy the Desktop program here,

https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/

You will need a full Windows or Mac to install it on.

Or If you have a simple return You can fill out the blank forms for free.

2018 tax

Thank you so much VolvoGirl!! I didn’t realize that my extension had run out and FINALLY have time to address my tax situation. Ugh. I figured since I was supposed to get money back vs paying it was “on me” to take the penalty and I had the year from hell. So  to even try messing with my taxes earlier this year, it was with it to me. I couldn’t figure out how to go back and do my 2018 online or at least SOME HOW. Thank you!!!
