Hi. I'm filing an amended 2018 federal tax return to claim a credit for installation of energy efficiency improvement equipment (HVAC). I've completed this amendment in Turbo Tax. The credit is federal only; there is no credit from my state. However, when I saved my amended return, Turbo Tax printed forms for my state as well as a second copy of my federal forms. If no credit is due me from the state, do I need to mail these forms to the state anyway? Thank you.

If your Federal amended return does not affect your State return, you do not need to mail anything to your State. You would only send in the Federal amended return (1040-X) & any forms or schedules that changed due to the amendment. The Federal 1040 & State, you would keep for your records.
