2014 tax amendment, ERROR 190. What to do?

trying to amend my 2014 tax return, we are military and my husbands home of record is NH. I paid taxes in CA for that year because that's where we lived and i worked. When trying to amend it gives me an error code of E190, tried the fix that is suggested but it wants me to download NH state tax form, but he didn't pay state taxes. How do i get around this error.

This is not an error ... you had 2 states originally in the return so the .taxfile has both state's in it so to open that tax file you must install both states again. In the future, if he is not required to file a NH return then don't complete a NH return. 

If you had paid for the second state program you should be able to download it now ...but if not contact TT support for assistance.

2. Click the blue Download arrow for the product you would like to download.
3. Save the download somewhere on your computer where you can find it – your desktop is a good place.
4. After the download has finished, install your software by double-clicking the downloaded file.
