1099-INT

so here’s the deal….I entered the information for 1099-INT. I earned over $1000 in interest income and I am able to see the amount before I hit confirm; however once I hit confirm, the amount is $0.00. Why is that when I’ve earned over $1,000. I originally entered it and it showed the amount but I deleted it to see what it would my taxes be with the 1099-INT and now the amount is shown incorrectly. I don’t know how to fix this as I’ve delete it and tried plenty of times.

when yo go back to that section is $1000 showing on "here's the interest we have so far" page. if not recreate the 1099-INT and enter the $1000

I'm not sure what happened, but I suggest you delete that record, and re-enter it.

The first chose is to go back to the 1099-INT area

  1. Select the record with the problem.
  2. Click the trash Can on the right side.

If that doesn't work you can use this:

On the menu bar on the left.

  1. Select Tax Tools
  2. On the drop-down select Tools
  3. On the Pop-Up menu select Delete a Form
  4. This will give you all of the forms in your return
  5. Scroll down to the form you want to delete
  6. Select the Form 1099-INT
  7. Click on Delete.
  8. Always use extreme caution when deleting information from your tax return.  There could be unintended consequences.

With this complete you can re-enter the 1099-INT.
