Can I amend my 2024 tax return? How?

    Not yet.   The Form 1040X will be available to use later in February.  And you have to wait until your original tax return has been fully processed before you send in an amended return or you risk causing confusion and long delays.

    Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS.

    The 2024 federal amended tax return form 1040-X will be available for filing in TurboTax on 02/13/2025

    Yes, as mentioned by @DoninGA and @xmasbaby0, you need to wait until both the return is processed and the form 1040X is ready.
