wrong SSN

Employer sent corrected W2c after I had efiled.  Note:  I listed the correct W2 on my taxes but my employer had submitted the wrong number.  I just didn't catch it.   IRS and SSA have received the corrected version.  Do I need to file an amendment and if so, what form?  Or will the IRS and SSA eventually make the necessary corrections and if so, how long does it usually take?

If none of the amounts on the W-2 have changed, the only correction is your Social Security number, you filed your tax return with the correct SSN, and your employer has filed a corrected W-2, you do not have to file an amended return.

I don't know whether this will delay the processing of your tax return. The IRS and the SSA will get it straightened out. There is nothing that you can or should do about it.
