Would i need to amend? or just wait?

When i was e-filing, i entered the data wrong in the section after i put in my child tax advanced payments (i entered the Child tax section right). But When it told me i was eligible for a third stimulus, i put in 0 instead of what i have received because i got confused. On my letter (6419) it said a lower amount then it was suppose to and then when they asked if i received the 5,600. i put i didn't receive it, that's when my return increased from the original amount..Not realizing that i needed to put the X amount i received. Would i need to amend? or just wait and give what they added back? I have not received my return yet, it states that it is accepted too.

(I thought the child advance payments were separate from a stimulus, but later found out it was the same..)

Just wait.   Do not amend for this.   All kinds of people are making mistakes with the 3rd stimulus.   The IRS checks what you entered against their records and they will make the correction for you.   Expect a longer wait for your refund.    And if you had an amount on line 30--you will not be getting that.
