Why dont i get a state refund
Last year i got both federal and state refunds. This year i am only getting federal, why?
Good news!
Your state IRS took exactly what was necessary to pay your taxes out of your paycheck, that is why you don't have a refund which is the state or federal government giving you back the money you didn't owe them from your paycheck.
At least on the state level, you had more money in your pocket because of that last year.
