Question

Where are my worksheets for 2025?

For years I have had the option of saving 1) required IRS forms and 2) all forms and worksheets.  This year, I cannot find access to the many forms and worksheets used to prepare my tax filing.  For example, I cannot see my Qualified Dividend and Capital Gains Tax Worksheet, which I need.  How do I get access to it?  I'm using the DoItYourself Premium version.

If you are using the TurboTax online editions there is no direct access to any forms, schedules and worksheets.  That feature is only available when using the TurboTax desktop editions in Forms mode.

Well that is new and unacceptable, if true.  I am a 10-year online user and could always access my forms and worksheets.

The TurboTax online editions are web-based DIY programs which have never had direct access to forms, schedules or worksheets

TurboTax website for the online editions - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/

If you had that type of access in the past then you must have been using the TurboTax desktop editions which have to be installed on either a Windows based or Mac based personal computer.

Success!  This is the correct answer:  When you sign in, scroll down and click on Add a State - -that will open your return so you can get to the Print Center and print the worksheets.

The answers from DoninGA below are incorrect.   We have always been able to view/print the worksheets in the online edition.  This year, the Tax Tools button disappeared, but clicking on Add a State reopens the tax forms, re-populates the Tax Tools button, and enables the printing of all forms and worksheets.  (Then you can delete the state form if unneeded).

@KellyB2 Sorry...Your original question did not appear to be asking about printing the forms or worksheets.

I have this in my files and have posted this procedure hundreds of times over the years -

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.

This will take you back to the 2025 online tax return.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen.  Then click on Print Center.  Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return.  Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

Don't gaslight people, @DoninGA. You sound like chatGPT, insisting you were right when you were not. The question was clear and the forms with worksheets have been available from the initial web interface until this year. You pretending that is not the case is not helpful.  And thanks, @KellyB2 for finding the answer to your own question!  If this functionality goes away completely, I am not sure I can continue to use Turbotax.

Thanks for helping locate the worksheets.  My return has numerous errors, I have to start at the beginning.  Not having access to the return until after filing is ridiculous.  This software is riddled with errors, now I have to fix it.  I sense I’ll be correcting many years.

    1.  Before you have filed….for the “Online” software (where you enter data using a browser), you can always save/print out whatever forms you’ve actually used so far, by going the the left-side menu and use the “Print Center” to create and look at a PDF file of what you’ve prepared so far, including all the forms and worksheets.  BUT...You do have to pay for the software before you create you first PDF (otherwise, everyone could scam the software and use it to manually fill out forms)
    2. After you have actually filed (using the “Online” software)  then you have to use the “Add a State” procedure outlined by @DoninGA  above, in order to get to the Print Center to create a copy with all the forms and worksheets.
    3. For those who use the “Desktop” software, that is only installed on full MAC or Windows computers…..they can look at and/or print out the forms at any time...because they have already paid for the software. They don’t have to create a PDF just to look, because Desktop software has a “Forms Mode”  that allows the users a look-see without printing.   (Someday the “Online” software programmers might create programming to offer this look-see procedure for “Online” users without having to create a PDF….but it would certainly require folks to pay for their software first).

Unfortunately, there is some concern that the Desktop software might go away in one of the future years, because...apparently...the Desktop product currently seems to be only ~5-10% of their tax software income, where it was much greater percentage years ago.
