Hello, I should have received a refund of $821 since I did not receive my 3rd stimulus check from the IRS. However they now said I OWE $579 because my TurboTax return was incorrectly calculated. Can someone please assist me? Thank you

The difference is 1400 for the 3rd Stimulus payment.

If you claimed a missing stimulus payment on your return but the IRS took it off you have to ask the IRS. They think they already sent it to you.  Maybe it went to an account you don't remember. Or you got a check or a card. It was probably easy to miss the debit card in the mail and think it was junk mail. They have to put a trace on it.

Double check your bank statements and Check your IRS account to see when and what they sent you (check both spouse's accounts if married)

You indicated on your federal tax return that you did not receive the 3rd stimulus payment.

The IRS adjusted your tax return because they have records showing that you received the 3rd stimulus.  The IRS removed the Recovery Rebate Credit of $1,400 on the Form 1040 Line 30 so there are now taxes owed of $579.

Go to your IRS tax account and there should be a 3rd stimulus payment posted - https://www.irs.gov/payments/your-online-account
